Mob lynching of a street hawker


Aamir Khan, a resident of Aligarh's Harduaganj who works as a hawker was beaten up with sticks, and forced to chant “Jai Shri Ram” by some Hindu extremists. Aamir sells clothes in residential areas. On Sunday, 31 October, too he went out for selling clothes in Nangla Khaim locality. While coming back from the area, he was stopped by some people. They asked him about clothes. Later they inquired about his name and religion. He told his name. After leanring his name they bacame rude and asked him to say Jai Shri Ram. When he refused to say so, he was heavily beaten up and abused. According to FIR two people were identified as Raju and Devendra who attacked Aamir. They are arrested on his complaint. A case of attempt to murder was registered at Harduaganj Thana.
