Performing religious rituals and Sloganeering. Threat to Darghah to vacate, Rohini Sec. 25 – Delhi

Regarding the desecration attempt made by a Hindu radical group at Dargah Madad Ali Shah by chanting religious slogan there and pasting religious banner there. On August 3rd 2021 in the evening a group of 60-70 people, according to Darghah caretakers, came to Darghah Madad Ali Shah and gathered there. They did some hindu rituals near darghah premises after that they started shouting religious slogan like “Jai Shri Ram”. Few minutes later they threatened Darghah caretakers and gave them ultimatum that if they do not leave the place within ten days they will face dire comsequences. They will come after ten days and put idol at the darghah place. The people gathered there came under the banner of “The Hindu Sangathan”. The video of the alleged programme is available. Perceiving the threat as real, some people contacted the local police and called them for action. The local police did come and tried to control the situation. Police detained some members of the programme and released them after some time. Muslim people from the locality did not feel safe or satisfy with police actions at the local level as some people of the alleged programme were roaming in the nearby places and mobilizing support for what they had said in the event they organized at the darghah.
