Jamiat President visits Assam and met with bulldozer victims

New Delhi, September 1, 2025 – Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind President, Maulana Mahmood Madani, today led a high-level delegation to Assam in the wake of increasing atrocities against minorities and the alarming rise of communal hostility. The delegation visited several relief camps, including Betbari, where families displaced by bulldozer demolitions are taking shelter.
Over the course of the day, Maulana Madani and his team travelled nearly 300 kilometers, meeting victims in multiple locations. Speaking with the displaced families, Maulana Madani expressed deep solidarity and assured them of unwavering support.
“Our fight is not against the removal of encroachments,” Maulana Madani stated, “but against the inhuman way in which people are being rendered homeless, taking aside the Supreme Court’s directions, and replacing law with threats, fear, and brute force. Such actions are not only against justice but also against humanity.”
In a strong message, he added: “Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has always stood with the oppressed and will continue to do so. We are ready even for gallows and chains if needed, but we will never step back from supporting the victims. This has been the shining legacy of our elders, and we will uphold it.”

जमीअत उलेमा-ए-हिंद के अध्यक्ष का असम दौरा पीड़ित परिवारों से मुलाक़ात

नई दिल्ली, 1 सितम्बर 2025:असम में अल्पसंख्यकों पर हो रहे अत्याचार और नफ़रत व कट्टरता की बढ़ती लहर के बीच जमीअत उलेमा-ए-हिंद के अध्यक्ष मौलाना महमूद असअद मदनी की क़ियादत में एक उच्चस्तरीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल आज असम पहुँचा। प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने उन राहत शिविरों का दौरा किया, जहाँ बुलडोज़र कार्रवाइयों के कारण बेघर हुए सैकड़ों परिवार शरण लिए हुए हैं।
प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने अब तक लगभग 300 किलोमीटर की यात्रा पूरी करते हुए कई प्रभावित इलाक़ों का दौरा किया और पीड़ित परिवारों से मुलाक़ात की। मौलाना मदनी ने विशेष रूप से बैतबारी कैंप में लोगों से विस्तार से बातचीत की और उनकी तकलीफ़ें सुनीं।
मौलाना मदनी ने इस मौके पर कहा: हमारी लड़ाई अतिक्रमण हटाने के खिलाफ नहीं है, बल्कि न्यायपालिका के आदेशों को नज़रअंदाज़ करके लोगों को बेघर करना और कानून की जगह डर, धमकी और ताक़त का इस्तेमाल करना इंसाफ़ और इंसानियत दोनों के ख़िलाफ़ है। जमीअत उलेमा-ए-हिंद हमेशा से मज़लूमों के साथ खड़ी रही है और आगे भी खड़ी रहेगी। इसके लिए हम फाँसी के फंदे तक का सामना करने के लिए तैयार हैं। यही हमारे बुज़ुर्गों की रौशन और प्रेरणादायक परंपरा रही है।”
प्रतिनिधिमंडल में अध्यक्ष मौलाना मदनी के अलावा जमीअत उलेमा-ए-हिंद के महासचिव मौलाना हकीमुद्दीन क़ासमी, मौलाना मुफ़्ती जावेद इक़बाल (अध्यक्ष, जमीअत उलेमा बिहार), मौलाना खालिद किशनगंज (नाज़िम, जमीअत उलेमा किशनगंज), मौलाना नवेद आलम क़ासमी, क़ारी नोशाद आदिल (आर्गनाइज़र, जमीअत उलेमा-ए-हिंद), मौलाना हाशिम क़ासमी (कोकराझार, असम) और मौलाना सलमान क़ासमी(आर्गनाइज़र, जमीअत उलेमा-ए-हिंद) शामिल थे।
