Udaipur incident is a disgrace to humanity
Maulana Mahmood Asa’d Madani JUH president
New Delhi, June 29: Maulana Mahmood Asa’d Madani, President of the Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, has strongly condemned the killing of a non-Muslim tailor master in Rajasthan’s Udaipur and the subsequent making of a video by the killers to justify it in the name of insult to the prophet (PBUH). He called it a disgrace to humanity and an act of defaming the religion of Islam.
Maulana Madani said that this incident, is a great challenge and shameful for the law enforcement agencies of the country. "No matter whosoever is a killer, no one has the authority to take the law and order into his own hands," he said.
Maulana Madani said that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind is against all forms of extremism and demands that strict action be taken against such persons irrespective of their religion, caste and ethnicity. It is a matter of great disappointment that the attitude of the law enforcement agencies is biased, which is why such unfortunate incidents are happening. Therefore, it is very important that whether it is this incident or that of insulting the Holy Prophet, the governments should be vigilant and take stringent action against the perpetrators of such heinous crimes.
On this occasion, Maulana Madani made a special appeal to every countryman to maintain law and order and also said that all citizens should unitedly stand against communalism and extremism etc.
